Times have changed. Between the past and the future their lied an uncertainty about what was yet to come. The economy declined, and then rose, each decade running its courses of good and bad. Medicine and space exploration were out reached and grasped. Anything seemed possible now. The future was looking much brighter, much more focused and anticipated. Then the future came, but it was like nothing we expected. Nothing we done could have foreseen what was to happen, what changes would become, and when things began to change out of our control.
Now the world lies in ruins. Once great cities hold nothing more than ruins of prosperity and life.

Clutching tight onto the steering wheel I slowly proceed down the dark and deselect roadway, trees swaying lightly in the winds on either side of me. The full moon shone down, lighting the darkened path ahead of me. I didn't know where I was going or why I was going there. I just needed to get out. But like so much more, to get out I had no idea.
